During the
Open! Festival of Stores for Rent

Nyitva! Kiadó Üzletek Fesztiválja
), long-vacant stores of Budapest open their doors for a month (September 19-October 19) and become full of life. The up-and-coming initiatives moving into the stores can experience the advantages of operating out of a rented space without any major commitment. The long-forgotten spaces are revived and can reveal their potential. The autonomous and private owners participating in the festival agreed to an innovative
real estate mediation based on personal
relationships
when they offered their unrented stores. The palette of the ongoing projects is beyond colorful: the street presence means a unique opportunity not only for retail and catering units, but also for social and cultural enterprises.
