The festive opening of
Diótörő Fesztivál
(Nutcracker Festival), the outdoor pre-Christmas event of the Hungarian State Opera, will take place at 6 pm on November 30, the first Sunday of Advent. The event is organized for the fourth time in conjunction with szeretet.éhség (love.hunger), the Advent fundraising campaign of the Hungarian Interchurch Aid. Along with the
Andrássy Avenue
festival, the
Opera
House is also putting on its traditional series of Nutcracker performances, Christmas concerts, and programs organized in the spirit of charity.
