Being staged for the third time, and the first time live since 2019, the New Millennium International Chamber Music Festival is the brainchild of Miranda Liu. This acclaimed US-born violinist, a Budapest resident since 2016, conceived of a festival taking place in intimate, atmospheric spaces to hone in on the true nature of chamber music. Master classes also make up an essential element of the event. This year's festival, running 26-31 August, takes place at the Chamber Hall of the Old Liszt Academy of Music (formerly Franz Liszt’s living room), the Erdődy-Hatvany Palace and the Hubay Music Salon.
