Japanese post-rock icons MONO return to Budapest this autumn as part of their 29-stop European tour, bringing their latest album, OATH, to Turbina on 24 November. Known for their cinematic soundscapes that blend post-rock, shoegaze, and classical influences, the Tokyo-formed band has spent over 25 years exploring the balance between light and darkness, birth and death, and the fleeting beauty of time.
Recorded with longtime collaborator Steve Albini, OATH continues MONO’s introspective journey with a sound both haunting and hopeful. Revered for their euphoric live performances, the band transforms every concert into a transcendental experience — so if you’ve ever wanted to feel the “music of the gods,” as NME once called it, this is your night.
