Mary Shelley tells the story of the author of one of the world's most famous Gothic novels Frankenstein - and her turbulent relationship with renowned romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. The couple, portrayed by Elle Fanning and Douglas Booth, are two outsiders expelled from society and bound together by chemistry and progressive ideas in both art and life. When the idea of Frankenstein conceives in Mary’s head, she has to challenge the contemporary preconceptions on women writers to protect her work and identity. The film is screened on 23 March, before its official premiere, at the Uránia Movie Theatre, in English with Hungarian subtitles.
