The Margó Festival is one of the most significant literary forums in Hungary today, bringing together authors, writers, poets and audiences, with an ever-increasing variety of activities and sell-out events.
In 2020, the festival’s 60 attractions await bookworms between 15-18 October, both online and in person, with full safety guidelines adhered to. Virtual participants also include popular Finnish author, Sofi Oksanen, whose novel named Purge has been translated into 38 languages, the Swedish Jonas Jonasson, responsible for the bestseller The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared, the Scandinavian crime-fiction writer Stefan Ahnhem, as well as the Taiwanese Wu Ming-yi, who will be introducing his latest novel, The Stolen Bicycle. New releases will be available with discounts both online and on-site, thanks to Bookline.
