Los Orangutanes, featuring singer Ivan Tabeira from Uruguay and guitarist Alex Torres from Peru, are a Latin-American cumbia band from Hungary, unique to the region. The group debuted in December 2017 to a full house, and have since been giving monthly shows at the most popular venues in Budapest. In 2018, they even performed a sell-out show as a big band at the prestigious Müpa arts complex. Their lively sounds prove that this kind of music can’t be listened to while sitting down – a dance party atmosphere is guaranteed.
