At the beginning of her career Lizz Wright was referred to as the rising star of neo soul, and today she’s the most famous contemporary jazz singer and musician of her generation. What she does is a rarity in music – she smoothly blends R&B, jazz, blues, pop and gospel while still keeping her own inimitable voice. This will be her first performance in Budapest; she will present her new album, Grace. She will perform songs from a long list of renowned artists like Ray Charles, Allen Toussaint, Nina Simone, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, k.d. lang, Bob Dylan, Frank Perkins or Mitchell Parish.
