Krisztina Erdei’s photo series entitled The Birth of Venus and Other Stories is the result of a one-year project in the wake of her Budapest Photography Grant awarded in 2017. This long-term venture aims to provide an insight into the problems of poverty and social inequality in Hungary, and to reveal common aspects in the diverse lives of the people concerned, providing a basis for better understanding. The works are on display at the Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Centre.
