The exhibition deals with the idea of utopia as a search for the ideal form of architecture and society, childhood memories, the New Age as a mixture of esoteric approaches or conspiracy theories. Utopia lies in the tension between the critique of the present when we look for future solutions by referring to the past. Utopia is inherently ambivalent, containing a contradiction between the pursuit of perfection and the alternative of the present situation, in contrast to the reality of human nature and emotions. Katarina Balunova is an internationally active Slovak artist. She creates his works along the themes of utopia and personal mythology, and raises questions concerning both the past and the future. Her works have been presented in nearly 20 countries from Europe to the Americas to Asia.
