For the fifth time, the Józsefváros Jazz Festival invites audiences to gather in the heart of the district, filling Rákóczi Square and the Market Hall with music, life and community. In keeping with the character of the venues, the programme is as diverse as jazz itself: from 12–14 September, two stages will showcase both classic and experimental directions of the genre. Admission is free, and the line-up features leading figures of the Hungarian jazz scene alongside rising talent, including the Balázs József Quartet, Horváth “Tojás” Gábor Trio, Subtones, Balázs Elemér Quintet, Pankastic!, Roberto Magris Quartet and Borbély Workshop.
