Faur Zsófi Gallery presents a selection of works by the award-winning artist József Bartl throughout March. Bartl describes his art in the following way:

Whites and square shapes dominate my paintings. I place white squares on the surface, then I paint dots, triangles, arrows, frontispieces, puppets, crosses and lines in them. The signs are tangible, abstract, decorative and all have special meanings. My motifs come from folk art, and I emphasise and vary them by using different geometrical elements – as a result, they become a meaningful set of symbols.
