Josh Cheon is one of the most important American figures of the big wave of wave re-releases; his record label, Dark Entries was established in 2009, and, ever since the beginning, it was more than just the western counterpart of Brooklyn’s Minimal Wave. Although Cheon was also socialized in the goth-queer scene of New York, he became the member of the (gay)disco community of Honey Sound System once he moved to San Francisco (which he recently left). Cheon keeps touring the world, looking for the old synth heroes and gems of post-punk, while he’s also a great DJ with sets of decadent club music .
Küss Mich will be the opening act at his gig in Budapest, which is kind of a given, as, during the past ten years, they were the ones in Hungary who played music that was close to style of Dark Entries. Crimson and Stanley Maneuver, two greats of the hybrid house scene of Hungary will play after Cheon.
