The autumn season at Várfok Gallery begins with the solo exhibition by the legendary 97-year-old Françoise Gilot, focusing on her works featuring travel, including the latest ones. The exhibition opening also marks the debut of the new Taschen publication processing her sketchbooks from her travels in Venice, India and Senegal.
Françoise Gilot’s pieces are on display in numerous museums and galleries worldwide, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Musée de Tel Aviv, and the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz, as well as in many prestigious private collections. At the peak of her career, her pictures were sold for $500,000.
