Paterson is a bus driver in today’s America, following the same, simple routine: every day he observes the city and listens to the conversation fragments of his passengers. After his shift, he writes poems in a notebook, walks his dog, drinks one beer in a bar and goes home to his wife, Laura. By contrast, Laura’s world is ever changing. New ideas and ambitions come to her almost daily. Still, they live in perfect harmony. He supports her newfound passions; she admires his gift for poetry. The film quietly observes the triumphs and defeats of their daily life and the poetry hidden in the smallest details.
The movie is screened in English with Hungarian subtitles. The admission is free, but you must consume at least one drink.
