From 20 to 22 August, the largest and most prestigious celebration of ethnic crafts in the region, the annual Festival of Folk Arts, is being held for the 35th time – and this year, admission is free! The specific location within the Buda Castle complex has also moved slightly, from Kapisztrán tér to Szentháromság tér. Special guests this year are Turkic-speaking countries, the theme being crafts related to hunting and fishing. This three-day event involves nearly 1,000 artisans, craft and culinary demonstrations, workshops, children's games, concerts and a real festival atmosphere.
