The defining exponents of Hungarian alt-rock back in the day, Európa Kiadó stayed in the game until the mid-1990s by which time there was no need for alternative music. On the occasion of Hungary joining the EU in 2004, they gave a concert on the A38, later releasing a new album with a fresh line-up in 2013. In 2017, the band once again became regulars at festivals and major clubs, again with a new line-up, even delighting fans with a full-house at Müpa. This will be their first outdoor show of the summer, in the courtyard of the Várkert Bazár near the location of the former Ifipark where everyone played back in the day.
