The events of the youth series of
Concerto Budapest
titled
Dzsopatán and Gásztonfild
focus on well known literary topics, discussing them from a unique point of view, through music. The same will happen at 11 am on February 15: this time the audience will be acquainted with perhaps one of the most popular and widely known pieces of Spanish literature,
Cervantes’ Don Quijote
. The more than 400-year-old novel presents extraordinarily exciting adventures with the help of peculiar characters (the wandering knight Don Quijote, his squire
Sancho Panza
, and his lady love
Dulcinea
), and the musical accompaniment will add a new layer to the book, regarded as the allegory of eternal illusions and hopeless struggles.
Running time: approx. 50 minutes.
Recommended for ages 6-14.
