The Silent Partner by DJ Bootsie
came out ten years ago. The mostly instrumental album with an epic structure closed an era (the era of Az Árral Szemben, founded together with Firma and Benski), and opened a new one with the kind of characteristic, soundtrack influenced hip hop that makes you take a trip inside and float away. Released by Ugar kiadó, The Silent Partner was not only a major success in Hungary: it piqued the interest of many abroad. That is how some of Bootsie’s tracks made it onto the seventh record of the Buddha Bar series, CSI, a mix album of DJ Cam and the Mercedes Mixtape.
