The
exhibition,
titled Design Without Borders, shows the works of Czech, Polish, Slovak and Hungarian
designers
and it will be on view for more than a month. This year they will show lamps, furniture, textiles, carpets, wallpapers, and interior design accessories by nearly 70 Hungarian, and almost 40 foreign designers. The objects were made with the fluidity of genres in mind; they represent the artistic freedom of the creators; they're delightfully colorful; they're fresh and progressive even by an international standard.
Prototypes, unique pieces from small series, as well as products from mass production can be found in the collection; a lot of the creators of these products received prestigious local and international design-awards. Traditionally, a varied program series accompany this exhibition organized with the artistic lead of designers
Szilvia Szigeti
and
Tamás Radnóti
. Texhibition is a separate unit within the exhibition that, in collaboration with MOME+ Program, shows the works of the freshly graduated designers of the university, as well as the results from the collaboration between the local textile designers and constructors.
