The Decolonize Your Mind Society stands out as a one-of-a-kind psychedelic microtonal band, the only one of its kind in the region. Founded in 2018 by Hungarian musician Bálint Szabó, the band quickly gained attention and acclaim, not just within Hungary but on a global scale, thanks to their debut album released in 2020. Their music, deeply rooted in non-Western cultures and characterized by non-standard tunings and psychedelic ritual influences, is a unique experience. In their second album, released in 2023, the band has taken a fresh approach, incorporating tempered tunings from various equal divisions of the octave and blending them with unmatched rhythms.
