It is always a unique opportunity to prepare for a performance of artists who are the best with their instruments, but can be heard seldom. This time, we can meet two of such artists on
17 and 18 January 2015, from 7:30 pm in the great hall of the Academy of Music
– on the two evenings, we can listen to
Beethoven
’s Piano Concerto in E-flat major and
Brucker
’s IX. Symphony, in the performance of
Concerto Budapest
and pianist
Varvara Nepomnyasaja
(conducted by
Alexander Sladkovsky
).

The concerto soloist,
Varvara Nepomnyasaja
studied in the Moscow Conservatory as a student of Professor Mikhail Vozkreszenkij; from 2013, she perfected her skills under the most interesting and original figure of the piano scene, Jevgenyij Koroljov in Hamburg. As the winner of the Anda Géza Piano Competition in 2012, the jury awarded her with the Mozart Prize, as well. The evening’s conductor,
Alexander Sladkovsky
studied in the Moscow and St. Petersburg Conservatory. From 2013, he is the head of the Tartar National Symphony Orchestra, but often performs abroad, as well.

"Emperor” – this is how English music fans christen the last Piano Concerto of Beethoven. The name appears to be pertinent: Beethoven had not composed better music than the opening movement of the composition before, nor after. The last Piano Concerto of Beethoven is accompanied by the last symphony of Anton Bruckner this evening.
