The
Közkincs Library
near Astoria will be hosting its second English-language book sale this Sunday, 29 September, from noon to 6pm. The library, which was founded in 2015, will be selling books on a variety of topics, ranging from fiction to cookbooks, business, gardening and more.
Proceeds go towards the library’s everyday expenses, as well as upgrades and maintenance of the facilities. Those attending the sale can purchase library membership at 10% off. Members benefit from weekly events such as a film club, as well as participating in art workshops, book launches, discussion groups and women’s self-defence classes on Mondays.
Tea and coffee will be available during the sale for a small donation.
