In cooperation with
Laokoon Film
, the producing company
Budoku
 organizes the
first public screening
 of the
Hungarian documentary Men With Balls (Besence Open)
after its successful appearance at last year’s IDFA. This is the third film by
Kristóf Kovács
(Malaccal Teljes, Wilkommen) who again presents an
unusual story
told in the style becoming a trade mark of his work full of
adventure

humour
 and
drama
.
The
godforsaken village of Besence
in Baranya county has 126 inhabitants out of which 102 (including the mayor) are
gypsies
and 98 per cent of them are
unemployed
. József Ignácz, the
agile mayor
tries to grab every opportunity to apply for funds and succeeds in winning money for a
horticulture project
 and for
building a tennis court
.

Kristóf Kovács
joins their story at this point for
three years
 to
follow the events
in the village and around tennis court and the
extraordinary life of the retired tennis trainer
, Karibá who is assigned to teach the villagers.
