JS Bach’s Die Kunst der Fuge, ‘The Art of the Fugue’, dating back to 1751, was never finished in his lifetime. Now Máté Hámori, pioneering head of the Danubia Orchestra Óbuda, has asked three young Hungarian composers to create their own interpretations of how the piece might continue, using various musical styles. These works by Péter Tornyai, Balázs Horváth and Máté Balogh get their first public airing at the Franz Liszt Music Academy on 30 January, with Benjamin Bayl conducting the DOO.
