This year’s Christmas is going to be different in many ways but there’s always music to keep your spirits up. The Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra are giving a number of festive concerts online this December. Although it may not be the same experience as going to a live concert, the special atmosphere should provide holiday cheer through the screen, too. The recordings can be accessed through the National Philharmonic website and Facebook page every Wednesday from 7.30pm.

The Christmas concert on 23 December promises to be an especially heart-warming experience. In addition to Hungarian, French, English and Austrian Christmas songs, Bach's Alleluia and Caccini-Kökényessy's Ave Maria will also be performed.
