The Hungarian Astronomical Association (Magyar Csillagászati Egyesület) is hosting an event at the Polaris Observatory in Óbuda on 1 July. It’s part of Asteroid Day, a UN-sanctioned global awareness campaign to learn about asteroids and how we can protect our planet. Alongside seminars, in good weather, guests in the observatory can attempt to seek out an asteroid far out in space. The event has 1,400 HUF registration fee.
