American History X is a dramatic exploration of racism and white supremacist hatred in the US. The shocking account of schoolboy Danny Vinyard (Edward Furlong) and his neo-Nazi brother Derek (Edward Norton) is not for the faint-hearted. The film portrays the ignorance and violence that underscore fascist ideology, often illustrated with graphic scenes. The movie is screened at the Bem cinema on 27 January at 9pm, in English with Hungarian subtitles.
