Pioneer of Brazilian jazz, the young piano prodigy Amaro Freitas will bring the tunes of his homeland to Opus Jazz Club on 3 June. Freitas' music was influenced by the high-intensity carnival rhythms of baião and Afro-Brazilian folk-dance maracatu.
