All the way from New Haven, Connecticut, American gospel rapper Akua Naru is here to spread the word at the A38 Ship on 12 July. Since her last appearance in town, at the Akvárium Klub, Naru has released a politically charged LP entitled The Blackest Joy, on which she sounds more dynamic than ever.
