If you don’t feel like waiting until midnight for the party mood to kick in this year, Spíler Biergarten has a great alternative. On 30 December, they’re hosting an Elő-Pezsgés (Pre-Fizz) evening – a proper year-end warm-up in the Buda Castle. The Szomori Fiúk will set the tone with live music, while the restaurant takes care of hearty bites and ice-cold beers, making it the perfect way to say goodbye to the old year.

Spíler Biergarten brings the classic beer garden vibe to life with a relaxed, bold attitude and a subtle Brooklyn twist. It’s the kind of place where the joy of Bavarian beer culture meets comforting favourites and an easy-going, year-round Oktoberfest atmosphere. Great beers flow from the taps, beer-garden staples come out of the kitchen, and the Castle’s best regular crowd fills the space. On the penultimate night of the year, the Szomori Fiúk will make sure no one stays seated for long.

Alongside beer-garden classics such as crispy pork knuckle, BBQ pork ribs with smoky sauce, grilled sausages with sourdough bread, Bavarian pretzels and Bavarian sausages, the menu also features pizzas, burgers and proper home-style dishes. From bean goulash to schnitzel, there’s something for everyone.

Why wait until the 31st to celebrate when you can get into the festive spirit a day earlier?

This is exactly where Elő-Pezsgés comes in. The idea is simple and very tempting: the evening kicks off at 6pm, with the Szomori Fiúk launching the night with live music. Spíler takes care of the fizz and the atmosphere, all you need to bring is your good mood. There’s also a little extra surprise: groups of six or more who book a table will be treated to a complimentary sparkling wine on the house.
