Zugliget Chairlift is one of Budapest's most unique ways of travel – picture gliding through the Buda Hills from Zugliget to János Hill, feet dangling above blooming trees, and soaking in the scenery. But it’s taking a short break for maintenance, so hold off on those family outings until 12 April. No need to worry – there’s nothing wrong; it’s just a planned spring glow-up. That said, the snack bars at both stations will be on pause too.
From 12 April, you can hop back on and enjoy the panoramic ride once again. A valid ticket is all you need – return (two-trip) tickets go for HUF 3,500. Getting there is easy: just take bus 291 from Nyugati station to the final stop.
