This year, Spíler Biergarten has expanded its offerings with the addition of a brand-new venue inside the restaurant. This cosy space, separated from the main dining area by a stylish sliding glass door, provides a vibrant yet secluded setting for hosting company or private events. The room comfortably seats up to 50 guests and can accommodate 70 for standing receptions. Nestled in Buda Castle, Spíler Biergarten is a delightful stop for a leisurely stroll, offering hot drinks like mulled wine, hot chocolate, and tea to take away. For those dining in, the menu combines festive treats with the restaurant's renowned Bavarian classics.
Start your meal with seasonal starters, including pumpkin hummus with crispy chickpeas, pumpkin seeds, and olive oil, or savour the Transylvanian mititei, a mix of beef, lamb, and pork in grilled meat rolls. Other rustic favourites include a venison and wild boar meat pie served with homemade ajvar (a condiment made principally from sweet bell peppers and aubergines) and flatbread.
For heartier fare, the menu features 100% local beef in their homemade burgers, with vegetarian options and a selection of pizzas also on offer. Traditional beer garden staples like pork leg, fried cheese noodles with cheese sauce, smoked bacon and onions, fried sausage with sourdough bread, coleslaw, mustard, and half a grilled chicken remain crowd favourites.
Don't miss their festive specials! Highlights include mushroom cream soup with truffle oil and toast, duck liver terrine with homemade brioche and pear chutney, and roast duck breast with turnip purée, carrots, and jus. A traditional Christmas choice is the stuffed cabbage with dill and cream. For dessert, indulge in a warm plum pie with cinnamon ice cream.

Party and wedding band Szomori Fiúk is back to get everyone dancing and singing with an incredible pre-New Year's Eve party on 27th December, starting at 6 pm. Their Pre-Fizz concert promises to be as lively and entertaining as their previous events, drawing in fans from all walks of life. The live music duo has built a loyal following at Spíler Biergarten, captivating both young and old, Hungarian and international guests alike, with their renditions of the biggest hits.
