Every year, Hungary lights up the sky on August 20th to celebrate its birthday with fireworks. The show gets more jaw-dropping each year, and this year’s display was no exception – check out the pictures!
August 20th is a big deal in Hungary – a bank holiday to celebrate the foundation of the state and the first king, St. Stephen. Traditionally, festivities pop up all over the city, but the evening fireworks are undoubtedly the main event. This year, the spectacle almost got cancelled because of a brewing storm, but after an hour's suspense, the show finally kicked off.
