There is no Christmas without The Nutcracker. As the season of the magical ballet is about to get started, a 2,5-metre-tall Nutcracker figure was placed in the hall of the Hungarian Opera House.

If you have been wondering how to get more festive, try the Opera House! As a starter, Tchaikovsky’s world-famous ballet, The Nutcracker returns on November 30th and will be on until mid-January - with a few seats still available. But you don't even have to see the stage to feel Christmassy. A 2,5-metre-tall Nutcracker figure has been placed in the hall, all along with a special Christmas tree, decorated with 200 pieces of Herend porcelain. You are welcome to visit the festive setting (and take a photo) even if you don't have a ticket for the show -  and you can also join a guided tour.

The Nutcracker will be on stage 35 times this season, but the majority of the shows are already sold out. You can still snag one of the last available tickets, try your luck HERE.
