After more than 70 years, the Lónyay-Hatvany villa at Buda Castle can be visited again, where the Aranybástya restaurant and café not only offers great dishes but also a stunning panorama. On the national holiday of 20 August, you can choose from several options if you’d like to spend the festive evening there and admire the fireworks with an amazing view.

On 20 August, with the Silver Ticket, ie Terrace Stroll Ticket, you can remain on the Aranybástya terrace between 8pm and 11pm, where you can enjoy the evening with Kreinbacher champagne, a selection of wines, cocktails, long drinks and great G&Ts.

If you would like to dine as well, you can go for the RoseGold Ticket, and tuck into dishes such as foie gras terrine, trout with Sevruga caviar, chanterelle cream soup, pork belly, and raspberry and pistachio ice cream mille-feuille. But you can also request a lighter dinner with smoked-aubergine paste, Waldorf salad, a light tomato-basil-melon summer soup, stuffed peppers and lemon tarte.

And over dinner, you can choose from the same range of drinks attached to the Silver Ticket and toast the anniversary of the founding of the state, always celebrated on 20 August.

You can find out more about the holiday offer and booking details from the Aranybástya website.
