Found Objects 2 not only shows the bizarre things that passengers leave behind when travelling across the city, but also advises that if you are among them, a simple phone call (+36 1 3 255 255, Tue & Thur 10am-2pm or email talalttargy@bkv.hu) should trace your umbrella, reading glasses or keys.
The experience of BKV shows that most passengers are decent and honest. And yet… they still lose things. All kinds of things, a tango accordion, dentures, a 2.5kg pack of protein powder, an inflated rubber mattress, a large-scale kitsch painting of horses, a complete ski outfit, fashionable clothes and almost every book under the sun.
Some things tug at the heartstrings, such as toy rabbit in a motorcar, while an absent-minded metal fan somewhere might still be missing an original vinyl copy of Deep Purple’s Fireball – unless it was left there deliberately, of course.
Other objects seem quite extreme – who takes two ceremonial swords with them onto the metro then completely forgets about them? There’s even a Torah scroll, left beside a beautiful gift box and never claimed.
