This week until 17 January, the Budapest Circus Festival is being staged for the 14th year, with a thousand artists from four continents performing. We sent our top photographer Bálint Hirling to the marquee to capture the scenes.
Hungary has always led the way where circus is concerned, expertise in this
traditional art form passed down from generationtogeneration.
The Budapest Circus Festival not only provides families
with classic entertainment over six days and for nine shows, but gives industry
professionals the chance to meet up and learn new skills and trends.
For the crowd, there are acrobatic productions, dog schools and
bicycle numbers. The event runs until Monday, 17 January at the Municipal Circus
(XIV. Állatkerti körút 12A) beside Budapest Zoo, opposite the Széchenyi Baths. You
can find the detailed schedule here.
