After staging it in 2016, Budapest will once again host the European final of the prestigious culinary awards, the Bocuse d’Or, in March 2022, a huge achievement for Hungarian gastronomy.

Europe’s best chefs from 20 countries will be coming to Budapest next March, as well as the members of the jury who will select which entries then go on to take part in the Bocuse d’Or 2023 World Final in Lyon.

The hosting award is a huge global advertisement for Budapest, and another opportunity for Hungary to raise its profile even higher on the international gastronomic scene.

Bocuse d'Or

Winning this award was a fantastic and unforgettable experience. I hope that another Hungarian chef will have the opportunity to present themselves onto the European stage at the Hungarian competition. In addition, hundreds of young Hungarian chefs will be able to watch the best and reacquaint themselves with Hungarian ingredients,” said Tamás Széll, Hungary’s most successful Bocuse d’Or competitor.
