Until 27 May, signature Russian dishes are being served at the MoszkvaTéЯ bistro, temporarily relocated to the Moné Garden in Buda. As well as being the previous (and still everyday) name of focal Széll Kálmán tér just the other side of Buda Castle from here, MoszkvaTéЯ was also a popular eatery in the gastro hub of the Downtown Market.

At the end of 2020, MoszkvaTéЯ said goodbye to the Downtown Market on Hold utca and will soon open its doors at a new location. In the meantime, in keeping with the season, the Moné Garden welcomes guests in an illuminated garden area and greenhouse.

The MoszkvaTéЯ Pop-Up Garden offers the most popular dishes from the former bistro. In addition to the borscht and solyanka Zboryana soups (each HUF 1,900), you’ll also find Siberian meat pelmeni (15 pieces, HUF 2,900) and salmon-caviar-and-prawn pelmeni (5 pieces, HUF 3,800), chicken Kiev (HUF 3,900), beef Stroganoff (HUF 7,900) and, of course, the salmon-and-caviar blini (20gr, 3,600 forints). Russian champagne, vodka and Moscow Mule cocktails (2,600 HUF) may accompany.

MoscowTéЯ regulars should enjoy their visit to Moné’s romantic, shaded garden (or glass-covered inner garden), opened before the pandemic within the 300-year-old walls of the former Capuchin monastery. But get there quick – it should only be open until 27 May.
