Prompted by the extraordinary circumstances of the coronavirus epidemic, the Budapest-wide cycle-share network, MOL Bubi bikes, can now be accessed for as little as 100 forints (€0.30) a month.

For many in Budapest now having to work from home, a cheap, handy way to cross the city without having to use public transport is by the cycle-share network of MOL Bubi bikes. Now, thanks to a new scheme just introduced, cyclists may use any bike around town over the course of a month for 100 forints (€0.30), for up to 30 minutes at any given time. If the user goes over the allotted half-hour, the standard charge will be levied.

Those looking to take advantage of this new offer should register here. You can also download the MOL Bubi app via Google Play and the App Store.

If you currently hold valid a MOL Bubi ticket or pass, you can continue to use it. Of course, once these run out, you can then snap up a new 100-forint monthly pass.
