“I feel like a king in my buggy” – in the video below, Terence Hill is turning heads zipping round the streets of Budapest in his little red dune buggy. This is all for a great cause. The Italian actor is auctioning the fully restored vehicle and offering the proceeds to buy new equipment for Budapest’s Heim Pál Children’s Hospital, something his "good old friend Bud would support with great pleasure” – try not to cry. Terence Hill is coming to Budapest on 16 February and will ceremoniously hand over the keys in person to the winner of the auction.

If you remember Bud and Terence sitting in a little red car with a yellow roof in 1974’s Watch Out, We’re Mad, that is what we’re talking about. Although the car was shattered in the film, worry not, it was fully rebuilt to look exactly the same. And, what's more, it’s now being offered for auction in all its retro pomp to benefit a Budapest hospital.

On 16 February, Terence Hill will visit Hungary as the star guest at a Guido and Maurizio De Angelis concert. Under the name of their band, Oliver Onions, the De Angelis brothers wrote the score for most Bud Spencer-Terence Hill films, including Watch Out, We're Mad. At the concert, Terence Hill will announce the winner of the auction and ceremoniously hand over the keys in person.

The highest bid currently stands at €42,000. If you would like to feel like a king in your new buggy, place a bid on the official website.
