As the first of a summer-long collaboration between the renowned Capa Center on showcase Nagymező utca and the Valyo riverside festival site by Rákóczi Bridge, ‘Opt for Water’ is the perfect choice of subject. Illustrating happier, carefree times, it shows Hungarians fooling about on the water, water skiing, rowing, diving and generally making merry. The photo series, released by the independent, open-sourced archive Fortepan, will be displayed until mid-June as part of the cultural agenda at Valyo Kikötő, an alfresco setting for summer activities. Admission to the exhibition is free.

Recently opened alfresco hangout Valyo Kikötő is also hosting live shows, sport and family-friendly attractions in a former dock area. Integral to the concept is Capa Kikötő, a series of photo exhibitions whose themes echo this unique location.

Also scheduled by the main stage of Valyo Kikötő from mid-summer will be a series of films whose focus is photography, with a lightbox installation guiding viewers around.
