Corvin Beer Festival
Do you enjoy when the aroma of malts, hops, brewer’s yeast, and barley combines into smooth-flowing flavors in your mouth? If the answer is yes, then you can don your autumn jacket right away and head out to Corvin Promenade, where select Hungarian and international breweries come together to celebrate IPAs, lagers, and stouts for four days beginning today with a summer-closing mini-festival. Besides the foamy potables, visitors can consume varied street-food treats, including sausages, grilled meats, goose cracklings, and cheese specialties.

Oktoberfest Budapest
This year, the local edition of Oktoberfest moves from its former city-center location to Budapest’s biggest horse track, where covered tents provide high-spirited shelter for beer guzzlers. Those who head out to Kincsem Park during October 5-8 can experience something of the feeling of Bavaria’s alcohol- and food-infused fiesta, where barrels of beer star while joyous yodeling entertain revelers late into the night. Oktoberfest tickets are available for purchase on the event’s website and on the spot, but it’s recommended to buy passes in advance – pre-purchased tickets include free bus transfers between the M2 metro station of Stadionok to the festival grounds; otherwise a one-way ticket to ride the bus costs 300 forints per person.
