This remarkable Hungarian thriller (translating to “The Monster of Martfű”) tells the true story of Péter Kovács, a notorious Magyar serial killer, who murdered defenseless young ladies on the streets of southern Szolnok County in the ’60s. In the film, a man is sentenced to death for the brutal murder of a young women in 1957 in Martfű. Seven years later shocking murder cases reappear, and amid the political madness of postwar Hungary, detectives have difficulties in finding correlations and picking up the thread of the investigation again; meanwhile, there is a growing number of victims in a country that has not known serial killers before… A young prosecutor needs great courage to reveal the identity of the ruthless predator of his tiny frightened town. Strangled is an intriguing Magyar murder mystery, but not for the fainthearted.

Putting his own life on the line to save the wounded near the frightening front lines earned him the Congressional Medal of Honor as the first conscientious objector in war history. This biographical movie about the wartime deeds of Desmond Doss is a must-see for everyone.

In Se7en, soon-to-be-retiring detective William Somerset (Morgan Freeman) is partnered with a young hotshot, David Mills (Brad Pitt), to track down a cruel criminal who chose the seven deadly sins as his modus operandi to carry out a series of gruesome murders. Shot entirely in China, the brand-new monster movie The Great Wall is the largest-ever Chinese-American co-production, featuring Matt Damon, and directed by acclaimed Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou. In the film set in ancient China, a European mercenary is asked to help an army of Chinese soldiers to fight a horde of mythical monsters on the Great Wall, which turns out to be a journey towards heroism. The film received divisive reviews from film fanatics and experts, but the film’s perfectly created action scenes and visual scenery attract countless movie maniacs to cinemas. In Budapest’s Aréna Cinema, the film is screened in 3D and Imax.
