A-list movie star Ryan Gosling recently spent months in the Magyar metropolis while shooting “Blade Runner 2” with Harrison Ford. For the newly released January 2017 cover story of GQ, journalist Chris Heath visited Budapest for an in-depth interview with Gosling, who posed for numerous photos at varied locations around the city – including a steamy series of the actor lounging and wading at the beautiful Gellért Bath, a shot of him reading a Hungarian newspaper while rocking striped pajamas in his hotel room, and a scene of him strolling on the sidewalk outside of the legendary Centrál Café.
Scenes from the photo shoot were documented in a behind-the-scenes video titled
“Ryan Gosling Goes Swimming in his Ralph Lauren Suit”, in which he sips on coffee, climbs up on a sculpture and wades inside the Gellért Bath, and seems to take a few selfies on a vintage camera. Apparently, Gosling enjoyed his stay here very much – after returning to the USA,
he was a guest on “The Jimmy Kimmel Show”, where he spoke about his experience shooting Blade Runner 2 with Harrison Ford. When asked if he would recommend the Hungarian capital as a place to visit, Gosling said “Budapest is a wonderful place”.
