Pop For Lunch - Keep it simple!

Art & Food exhibition | Eszter Kores & Zsuzsi Matok

The pieces on display -
screen prints, risograph prints and videos
- are a blend of materials, photos and the two artists' interpretations on food from brush-strokes to edible design objects.

The concept: to
demonstrate
everyday
simplicity
causes
happiness
and the need to change things for our satisfaction is a misconception.

"Every work has a
rhythm
... What matters to me is the order when I create these images and the steps have
hidden meanings
for me. Firstly, by writing on the canvas or the material is like establishing it's meaning. Next I apply the three colours; it adds vividness and life. To cover with white is to fill it with good energy. And lastly, I add contours to make it visible to everyone."

Zsuzsi Matok
| food designer

"I create
objects
,
photo
and
video
compositions, on different themes - all made with edible materials with a simple message: 'Notice what's in front of you! Everything is simpler than we would think. We do not need to change everything, we just need to take a look'. This message is best expressed visually - that's why these pieces were born."
