As a continuing tradition, apricot and apricot pálinka plays the leading role in the
7th Annual Pálinka Festival
of Budapest between May the 10th and 13th, 2012. Our visitors will have the chance of tasting hundreds of different spirits. In addition to that, this year they can taste the
Apricot Pálinka
of the Year. This blend of the best pálinkas of Hungary will be available for tasting at the Castle of Buda for the first time.
Last year at the
Pálinka Festival
we have started a new tradition: every year, a different fruit is in focus. Last year it was plum, this year it''s apricot. 2012 is therefore the year of
apricot.

More than 25 exhibitors and distillers will be offering their goods at Hunyadi Square and Oroszlános Square. The gastronomic experience will be complete with homemade cheese, wine, champagne and of course the house of sausages. Visitors will have the chance to try pálinka and chocolate combined, a combination that represents a new dimension in pálinka tasting. In addition to the usual flavors, this year there will be a selection of special delicacies made of apricot, offered at the Barackos Square.

Apricot Pálinka of the Year is a combination of the finest apricot pálinkas made by the best distillers of Hungary (Harmatrázó, Gusto, Békési, Rézangyal, Villányi, Schiszler, Szalontai, Csalló, Rex, Hegyközi and Zwack). The Budapest Pálinka Festival will be the first opportunity to taste this limited edition pálinka, which comes in a special packaging.

A number of tables are available for reservation at the covered area of Oroszlános Square.
