The
Buborék Fesztivál
(Bubble Festival) is all about enjoying all things bubbly from
champagne
, sparkling wine and
prosecco
, to other aerated sparkling wines.
Hungarian wine culture has experienced spectacular progress in the past two decades, but drinking sparkling wine is still reserved for special occasions. At the same time, more and more wineries sell these aerated drinks, and a selection of proseccos and cavas has cropped up in both retail and wholesale, also being stocked by the ever-growing number of newly popular wine bars.
This has prompted the organizers to introduce a wider circle of consumers to the universe of
bubbly
drinks, and to provide a reliable
source of information
and a
tasting
opportunity to those just getting acquainted with these products. During the two-day event, visitors can sample drinks from the wine regions of
Hungary
as well as try a unique international selection with products from
Italy, France, Spain, North and South America
. Entry is free of charge, visitors can pay for the products at the individual booths.
