The most important event during the thematic month of
Bordeaux varieties
with master courses and more than 60 exhibitors.

Master course of Bordeaux wines:
12:30-14:00

France’s Bordeaux wine region is the cradle of the three grape varieties that possibly come to mind when you think of grape varieties grown all around the world.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Franc, and Merlot
all started their conquests in Bordeaux, and the premium items of this wine region remain points of reference to this day for anyone producing or consuming these vintages. Gabriella Mészáros will present the series of items compiled from the wine selections of Heinemann Testvérek Kft. and the Barons de Rothschild Lafite and Chateau de Pez cellars.

Sauska Cuvée 7 master course:
15:00-16:30

The Villány-based
Sauska Cellar
has many
cuvées
, but only one set of twins called 7. The Bordeaux blends come from vineyards in Siklós and Villány, but it matters a great deal which originates where. The cool elegance of the Merlot and the full, rich beauty of the Cabernet Sauvignon have been the center of both blends since 2011. Two winemakers will demonstrate through eight wines from two vintage years how the two terroirs and the different varieties came together.

Villány Franc master course:
17:30-19:00

The
Villány wine region
announced this May that after years of preparation, the wine category of Villány Franc had been created. The top Cabernet Franc wines are part of Villány’s system for origin protection, and a super-premium category has been established beside the premium one to ensure that items positioned at the top of the wine selection are highlighted. At the master course, winemakers from five prominent Villány-based cellars - Bock, Malatinszky, Vylyan, and the wineries of Attila Gere, Tamás Gere and Zsolt Gere - will present their Francs and educate attendees in detail about the concept of Villány Franc.
